  • This event has now passed

Join the internationally renowned BBC Big Band for an evening of world-class big band music inspired by the 20th century’s finest composers.

The music of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey and  Benny Goodman defined a golden age of jazz. Sit back and enjoy the tunes that made them stars, such as One O’Clock Jump, Take the ‘A’ Train, Begin the Beguine, Sing, Sing, Sing and Opus One.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Stables, the orchestra also take a special look at the music of Sir John Dankworth – including some of his best known big band numbers, such as African Waltz, Experiments With Mice and Tomorrow’s World.
