  • This event has now passed

Join Laura Oakes, Holloway Road and Katy Hurt for an evening of the best UK country music.  Come along and enjoy some excellent music from three award winning UK country artists... together in one place for one night only!

Laura Oakes
Laura was born in Liverpool and grew up listening to artists like Dolly Parton, David Gates and the Dixie Chicks.   In her teenage years she started to embrace her influences performing anywhere and everywhere.  But it was a trip to Nashville, at the age of 18, that proved an overwhelming and life-defining experience, driving her to realise her dream of becoming a country singer and writer.  Laura has enjoyed success touring the UK's most prestigious festivals including C2C, Black Deer and the Cambridge Folk Festival, as well as supporting artists including Devin Dawson, The Shires, The Wandering Hearts and Ward Thomas.  Her music releases have received critical acclaim and radio play with her latest acoustic EP "Nashville Stole Your Girl" reaching number 5 on the iTunes Country Music Chart.  Laura returned to Nashville in 2018 to co-write with some of the world's greatest songwriters including Jeff Cohen, Beth Nielson Chapman and Jenn Bostic.  She returned to the UK with a fabulous bundle of new songs ready to perform and release this year.

Holloway Road
Holloway Road - Jack Cooper & Rob Gulston - are one of the most exciting new duos in country-pop music, having enjoyed extensive radio support from the BBC, Country Radio, Chris Country and Downtown Radio in the UK, and WSM-AM in the USA; over half a million streams for their music to date; and sharing stages with the likes of The Shires, Lindsay Ell, American Young and more, as well as numerous major festival appearances including AEG’s high profile Country to Country & Country Music Week events and the first ever The Long Road Festival. National media coverage to date has included Vice, Country Music Magazine, Maverick, and The Daily Mail ("an impressive set for a huge mob of fans..."), and with growing support from fans worldwide and three iTunes Top Five EPs to date, success in a growing international country scene increasingly looks like an inevitable part of the Holloway Road story. Late in 2017 the duo completed their first full band headline tour, documented in the video for standalone single 'Under Cover' and in part inspiring the follow up track ‘No Place’ about the experience of being an artist on the road; and during the summer of 2018 they returned to Nashville to write for their third EP ‘Broke’, which is available to stream/download now, with a huge response from fans and over 100k streams within the first few weeks of release.

Katy Hurt
Katy Hurt has rapidly become a leading light on the UK Country/Americana scene and all without having released a full length studio album. 2018 has seen her nominated for “Best Country/Folk Act” at the Unsigned Music Awards as well as performing festival slots at Country 2 Country, BlackDeer, Rhythmtree, Cornbury and many more. Katy spent 2017 performing at 100+ shows around the country since the launch of her EP “Pieces of Me”, with songs impressing fans by combining the honest lyrical content of country with riffs and haunting vocals. BBC Radio 2’s Paul Sexton described Katy as “One of the most exciting prospects on the burgeoning country scene”, saying “Hurt's distinctive EP is the latest evidence of a career that's already produced an iTunes UK Country No. 1 in 'Love You More, she’s a vivacious and magnetic performer…Check her out now whilst you can still get to the front row”. Katy’s performance at The Pilton Party, highly praised by Michael Eavis, introduced crowds to her latest singles displaying great crossover potential into the rock, pop and blues genres. "Truly a diverse artist".
