Yorkshire born singer-songwriter/guitarist and lead vocalist of British rock band 'The Mentulls', David Neil Crabtree is a fast emerging contemporary solo artist and producer whose music combines rock/pop with R’n’B and soul elements. Possessing a raspy, soulful voice and an electric guitar style reminiscent of artists such as Eric Clapton and John Mayer, David has a growing reputation for his live performances. Joining the band on the night will be Nigel Bennion on bass, Ryan Wayne Smith on Drums and fellow Mentulls member Jamie Pipe on keyboards.
His latest single ‘Gasoline’ produced and co-written by Danny Schogger (Paul Young, George Michael) and co-written with Charlie Dore is a dark, brooding song about being totally disillusioned with love and relationships, ‘Gasoline’ is laced with vengeful lyrics that try to capture the feeling of total loss when a relationship turns bad. David said, “I like to think nearly everyone can relate to the sentiment of the lyric, as we’ve all been there at one point or another in our lives.”
