Known mainly for his acclaimed trio Congregration, playing his own original compositions, mixing jazz, classical and electronica, John Law has put together a stunning new group of young musicians, playing mainly his arrangements of other people’s tunes.
Re-Creations is his new fun project playing other people’s tunes. This new CD, out on 33 Jazz, features inventive, creative re-workings of jazz standards like autumn leaves and beautiful swing tunes such as Falling Grace as well as stylish arrangements of pop classics such as Fields of Gold and Norwegian Wood. Recent additional arrangements include tunes by Adele, Daft Punk, Radiohead, Michael Jackson and a baroque version of Summertime!
