With powerful vocals, dancing violin lines, sensual choreography and upbeat guitar rhythms, Las Migas creates a fascinating and beautiful blend of Spanish flamenco and Mediterranean music.
The group is made up of four women who come from different cities that span both the geography and cultural diversity of Spain. As a result, Roser Loscos (violin), Marta Robles (composition and guitar), Alicia Grillo (guitar) and the band’s founder Carolina Fernández (voice and dance) combine traditional flamenco with a fusion of sounds from different cultures, to create music and dance that is magical, stylish and fresh.
Las Migas was established 15 years ago when the four members were students at the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya. The quartet now has a legion of fans in Spain and many European cities, as well as across North and South America. They have released four albums, including Vente Conmigo for which they were nominated for ‘Best Flamenco Album’ of 2017 at the Latin Grammy Awards. In 2019 they released their latest album Cuatro (Four).
