Laura van der Heijden has already made a name for herself as a very special emerging talent. Having won many prizes and awards from a very young age, Laura was awarded the title of BBC Young Musician 2012 at the age of 15, performing Walton’s Cello Concerto with Kirill Karabits and the Northern Sinfonia at The Sage, Gateshead.

Laura is currently studying for her Bachelor’s Degree in Music at St John’s College, Cambridge, while continuing to perform during her term breaks. Her 2016/17 season featured her debut with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and performances with the Orchestra of the Swan as their Associate Artist. In December Laura performed the Schumann cello concerto with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields as part of the “Cello Unwrapped” series at Kings Place, London.


Free tickets for under-25s As a member of the CAVATINA Trust ticket scheme, which enables young people to enjoy live chamber music, we are able to offer a limited number of free tickets to 8 to 25 year olds for this concert. To book these tickets, please contact the box office.

All transactions are subject to a transaction charge of £3. With the exception of some events in this year's IF: MK International Festival, internet bookings are subject to an additional booking fee of £1.80 per ticket
