Gwen Dickey relocated to the UK 20 years ago to enjoy a successful solo career playing to packed houses all over the UK, but now, with the newly reformed Rose Royce, she and her legendary band are back in business!
The legendary Grammy-award-winning nine-piece Los Angeles band began life in the 1970s initially and was led and based around Rose Norwalt (aka Gwen Dickey).
The band first enjoyed success providing the soundtrack to the movie Carwash and this was followed up by Rose Royce II: In Full Bloom and Rose Royce III: Strikes Again! Hits from these albums include Car Wash, I Wanna Get Next to You, I’m Going Down, Wishing on a Star and Love Don't Here Anymore.
After 1980 Gwen and the rest of the band parted company, and she continued a successful career, usually performing solo in the USA and the UK.
