The fabulous Italian-American swing pianist Rossano Sportiello joins bassist Dave Green and drummer Steve Brown for a morning of live jazz at The Stables.
Rossano was born in 1974 in Vigevano, Italy, and graduated in classical piano aged only 16. Having transferred his allegiance to jazz, he became known as an exponent of the stride style and was compared to the late Ralph Sutton and Dave McKenna but that understates his playing range. He can, as they say, do it all. Now resident in New York City, he travels internationally, leads his own trio and records regularly with the top players of the day. His ethos is simple, “I want to see people smiling and having fun.
The Stables will be opening its doors from 11am, so before each concert you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a hot bacon roll, along with a full bar and snack bar service – the Sunday papers will be available too!
