Since 2018, La Déferlance has been offering a refreshing and brightly coloured trad. Their repertoire consists not only of lively tunes and purely traditional songs arranged to their taste, but also of many entirely original compositions.
The group's energetic and polished performances are a testament to the years of varied musical experience of its members, particularly in jazz and classical.
Recipient of numerous nominations (Canadian Folk Music Award, GAMIQ, OPUS, Heritage Award), the group is now travelling internationally to present its new show Âmes des bois based on its second album released in 2025.
