Access at The Stables

We want everyone to feel welcome at The Stables and to enjoy their visit with confidence. Whether you're attending a concert, workshop or another event, we're committed to making our venue as accessible as possible.

On this page you’ll find information about parking, step-free access, wheelchair spaces, hearing assistance, accessible toilets, companion tickets and other facilities.

Most public areas of The Stables are fully accessible, with lift access available to seating on the lower levels of the Jim Marshall Auditorium.

If you have any questions or specific requirements, our team will be happy to help before your visit. Please call the Box Office on 01908 280800 or email boxoffice@stables.org

Booking tickets

If you have any access requirements or would like advice before booking, our Box Office team is here to help.

Please call 01908 280800 or email us on boxoffice@stables.org, and a member of the team will respond as soon as possible.

We offer a 25% discount on companion (carer) tickets.

Wheelchair and companion seats are not currently available to book online. Please contact the Box Office and we'll be happy to arrange your booking.

Wheelchair and mobility scooter users

We can accommodate up to eight wheelchair users with their carers per performance, subject to availability. Mobility scooters can be used to access the venue, but they cannot be taken into the Jim Marshall Auditorium. If you’d like to discuss the best arrangements before your visit, please contact our Box Office.

Our Customer Assistants are available at most events to provide assistance throughout your visit. During the interval, they will be happy to bring refreshments to your seat if required.

Car parking

Free on-site parking is available at The Stables, with stewards on hand to help direct traffic when you arrive.

There are eight Blue Badge parking spaces close to the main entrance, all with level access. These spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance. If you wish to use one, we recommend arriving in good time, although availability cannot be guaranteed.

A drop-off point close to the venue entrance is also available if anyone in your party has difficulty walking on uneven ground - please ask one of our car-park stewards on arrival.

Please note that overnight parking is not permitted.

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets are available in the main foyer.

Additional accessible toilets are located adjacent to the ladies’ and gents’ toilets and are accessible from the Jim Marshall Auditorium.

Hearing loop

The main auditorium is fitted with an Ampetronic system. To use this system you must have a hearing aid with either a switchable or auto-detect T-Setting built in. As the signal is stronger in certain areas of the auditorium please advise our box office staff at the time of booking if you would like to take advantage of this facility.

Stage 2 has its own hearing assistance system. Customers will need to wear one of our hearing devices, available from the box office. We have two types of hearing device, either to boost sound, or a personal induction loop if your hearing aid has a T-Setting.

Auditorium seating sizes

If you have any additional questions about the dimensions and/or sizing of our auditorium seating, please email our box office at boxoffice@stables.org.
