Featuring special guests Oliver Wakeman and Mollie Marriott

In Marc, Rick Wakeman CBE enjoyed a new adventure in his 60+ year career when he toured for the first time ever with his eldest son Oliver in the USA. Oliver has followed in his father’s footsteps as a distinguished composer and keyboard player, and although the pair had performed at one-off shows together in the past – most notably, at a performance of The Myths And Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table at London’s O2 Arena – they had never toured together before.

The dates was so well-received by fans and critics alike that Rick felt it would be lovely to work together again if the right situation arose. When he decided to do some Xmas shows at the end of the year, it seemed like the perfect opportunity and so the pair will be going out for a brief run of dates in December. To add an exciting vocal dimension to the show, they will be joined by Mollie Marriott, who has sung with Rick many times in recent years and also features on Rick’s latest album, Return to the Red Planet.

Both former keyboard players with YES and the Strawbs, as well as being highly successful, award-winning musicians in their own right, Rick and Oliver will be performing music which ranges from their joint musical heritage to their latest recordings, augmented by Mollie’s awesome voice, and of course, there will be plenty of Rick’s trademark witty banter and wonderous stories!

However, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without one of Rick’s by now traditional Yuletide celebrations, so there will be an additional seasonal flavour to the evening, to get everyone in the mood for the forthcoming festivities.

Don’t miss this never-to-be-repeated opportunity to see three outstanding musicians, working and having fun together!
