Exploring Francophonie Through Cinema
with screening of Le Petit Prince (Mark Osborne, 2016)
Conducted in French and English, the morning session will feature a clip-based presentation introducing students to short films from across the Francophone world, alongside language activities aimed at expanding vocabulary and encouraging listening and speaking in French. Students will explore the diversity of French-speaking countries and cultures, and discuss themes and ideas linked to the films.
In the afternoon, there will be an introduced screening of Le Petit Prince (with English subtitles), an animated adaptation of one of the world’s most translated books, offering a connection to Francophone literature and culture.
A students and teacher resource pack will be provided on the day (students should a pen and a clipboard, large book or something to support their study pack booklets for writing in during the morning activities.)
This event is intended for teachers and students only – both days are hosted by Muriel Huet,
Education Consultant, filmmaker and French language specialist.
