Call Out To Artists

The Stables invites visual artists who live or work in and around Milton Keynes to submit creative works for display and sale in our foyer gallery space. We host a series of exhibitions throughout the year. The next exhibition will run from July – November 2026, offering an exciting opportunity to showcase your art to more than 25,000 people during this time.

We are interested in supporting and presenting contemporary work which has a commercial appeal to the mix of audiences who visit the venue.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 29 May.

Commments from previous artists

"I highly recommend The Stables to any artist wishing to exhibit their art in a fabulous space with great lighting, an easy and effective hanging system, high footfall of discerning concert-goers and a very supportive management team.” Blondeman

“I would like to sincerely thank The Stables team for all the support, help, and the wonderful opportunity to be part of this exhibition. It truly meant a lot to me, and I’m very grateful for the experience.”  Angela Vitosinscaia

“I was really chuffed with the exhibition and the feedback (and sales to boot!) and you all honestly could not have been more helpful and supportive.  The gallery is such a great space with fabulous lighting and treat to exhibit in.” Fiona Wilson

“I had a solo show at The Stables gallery in 2025 and it was a great experience in every way. The gallery space is fresh and light with an inbuilt hanging system. It has, most importantly, excellent footfall as it is in the foyer of the venue. The help and support from the Stables staff was excellent. I show my work across the UK, including in very well known galleries, I wish they were all so helpful and accommodating. The exhibition time is nice and long which means it is well worth exhibiting there, at most galleries, work is usually shown for a month or less.” Helen Taylor

Marketing support

The exhibition will be featured in our quarterly events brochure for The Stables, promoted on our social media posts, and highlighted on our website offering great visibility. There is an option to host a private viewing  (subject to availability and additional costs)

Selection

The art will be selected by a small panel. A technician will assist with mounting the exhibition and be responsible for adjusting the lighting in consultation with the artist.
