Terms & Conditions

Please check www.stables.org or contact the box office for current terms and conditions of ticket purchase as they may vary.

The Stables means The Stables Theatre (Charity no 1178665 and Company no 3224226), whose registered office is at The Stables, Stockwell Lane, Wavendon, Milton Keynes, MK17 8LU.

Promoter means The Stables  or the person, firm or company staging the Event if different from us, in which case The Stables acts on behalf of that promoter. Tickets may be sold for events at The Stables Theatre or for other venues and locations.

The Stables vision is to engage the widest range of people with music in all its diversity, aiming to enrich people’s lives with opportunities to access, participate in and experience live music and the arts in general.

As a non-profit making charitable organisation, any surplus made through the programme is reinvested in its artistic and educational projects.

The Stables reserves the right to change, revise and amend these terms and conditions without notifying you.  Such changes will be reflected on the website of The Stables.

Tickets (printed, electronic, wristband or other evidence of the right to attend the event) are sold by The Stables for itself or as agent for other promoters and are subject to availability and the following terms & conditions:

1.  Agreement

1.1.    Your contract for the purchase of the ticket(s) is formed as soon as we have processed your payment and will expire immediately after the performance of the event for which you purchased the ticket(s).  Your purchase may be subject to payment card verification and other security checks and your transaction may be cancelled if the verification process fails.

1.2.    These terms & conditions should be read in conjunction with any event promoter conditions and regulations which may apply.  In the event of inconsistency between the terms in relation to The Stables terms & conditions and the event promoter or partner, those of The Stables shall prevail.  If no promoter, those of The Stables shall prevail.

1.3.    Some terms & conditions may not apply to purchases for tickets made from third parties and any queries or complaints related to purchase of tickets from third parties should be addressed directly to the third party.

2.  Tickets

2.1     Tickets sold or offered for sale by any person or persons other than The Stables, the Promoter or their authorised agents will not be honoured.

2.2     Tickets are non-transferable.

2.3     The Purchaser holds full responsibility for the ticket (physical or e-ticket) once received.  The Stables has no liability in the case that the ticket is lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or rendered unusable.  Please check tickets on receipt and contact The Stables Box Office immediately if you have any concerns as mistakes cannot always rectified.

2.4     Duplicate tickets may be issued at the discretion of the Promoter or Venue providing that this does not compromise the Venue’s licensing or management of the event.  If an e-ticket is reissued the most recent version will be the only valid ticket, previous tickets will be void and entry to the venue may not be permitted.

2.5     The Stables reserves the right to provide alternative seats at an event to those specified on the ticket if the staging of the event or circumstances require, providing they are of no less value to that stated on the ticket.

2.5     The Stables will make every effort to accommodate customers with specific access requirements, however this may not always be possible due to the constraints of the venue, licensing requirements or the nature of the event itself (e.g. a promenade event or touring show that does not provide sign language interpretation).  To ensure The Stables can accommodate your requirements, you should discuss your access requirements with The Stables box office prior to booking or as soon as possible in advance of the event.  In the event that it is not possible to accommodate your particular access requirements after a ticket has been booked - e.g. a wheelchair space is not available following an injury that requires the ticket holder to attend in a wheelchair, The Stables will provide a ticket credit (valid for 12 months from date of issue) for another performance or refund the ticket price (excluding booking fees.)

2.6     Where a concession is claimed, proof of identity and concession entitlement (e.g. age, student status or universal credit recipient) may be required.

2.7     Possession of a ticket does not confer any rights (by implication or otherwise) on you to use, alter, copy or otherwise deal with any of the symbols, trademarks, logos and / or intellectual property appearing on the ticket.

2.8     You agree not to obtain or attempt to obtain any ticket through unauthorised use of any robot, spider or other automated or any other illegal or unauthorised activity.  We reserve the right to cancel any ticket transaction which we reasonably suspect to have been made in breach of these provisions without notice to you and all tickets purchased as part of such a transaction will be void.

2.9    Tickets cannot be used for advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes unless formal permission has been received in writing from The Stables.

2.10   Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number or sold subject to certain restrictions on entry or use, such as restricted, obstructed or side view or a minimum age for entry.  Any such restriction shall be displayed on The Stables website, ticket site or otherwise notified to you before or at the time of booking.  It is your responsibility to ensure that you read all notifications displayed.  We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased in excess of the maximum number without prior notice unless the purchase of tickets in excess was due to our error, in which case we will notify you prior to cancelling your tickets.

3.  Price and Payment

3.1     The price of the ticket shall be the price set at the time The Stables accepts your order.  All advertised prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes and booking fee but exclusive of any other transaction, collection or delivery fees.

3.2     No order will be accepted until The Stables has received full payment in cleared funds.  We reserve the right to cancel any booking where it is suspected to have been made fraudulently.

3.3     Concessions and discounts and promotional codes (“Promo Codes”) are subject to availability and may be restricted to certain events, price levels and / or performances.  Only one concession or discount is available per ticket.  Promo Codes provided to you by The Stables may be valid for limited periods and can only be used once.  A Promo Code can only be used once per qualifying transaction and is applied to the transaction as a whole.  Multiple bookings for the same service, identified by debit card or booking name, are considered to be ‘one qualifying transaction’.  If you fail to enter the Promo Code at the time of purchase, your purchase will not be eligible for the discount.  Discounts may not be claimed after you have confirmed your purchase on the Site or in person at The Box Office.  Promo codes are not applicable for gift vouchers.  You may not redeem or exchange the Promo Code or applicable discount for cash.  You may not use or combine the Promo Code with any other promotions.  We reserve the right to modify or withdraw a concession, discount or Promo Code at any time without prior notice.

3.4     Offers and discounts are non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or discount.

3.5     Offers and discounts are subject to availability, can be changed or withdrawn without notice and may be available for a limited period only.

3.6     If the price you paid for your ticket is incorrect regardless of whether because of an error in a price advertised or available at point of sale or you are able to order a ticket that was not authorised for release for sale, then The Stables will have the right to cancel that ticket (or the order for that ticket) and refund the amount you paid.  This will apply whether the circumstances are due to human error or a transactional malfunction of the website or ticketing system.

4.  Delivery

4.1     Electronic tickets will be delivered to the email address provided when you registered on the our internet ticketing website and at time of booking.  Your electronic ticket must be printed or presented on a mobile or tablet device.  If you print your ticket you must ensure that it is prints clearly on plain A4 white paper and you must ensure that no duplicate copies are available for others to use.  In the event that multiple unauthorised duplicate tickets are presented at an event, The Stables reserves the right to refuse entry to all ticket holders and refund the value of the ticket price only to the original purchaser.

4.2     Printed tickets supplied by The Stables will normally be delivered to the billing address of the debit / credit card holder unless we specifically agree for tickets to be sent to an alternative address.

4.3     If tickets are returned to The Stables as ‘addressee unknown’ The Stables may cancel your booking and make a refund of the ticket price only.

4.4     We reserve the right to make tickets available for collection at the venue box office.

4.5     If you are collecting tickets from The Stables box office you must have an acknowledgement of an order sent by us to you and the credit / debit card used by you to purchase the tickets.  You may also be required to present your photo ID.

5.  Changes to scheduled events

5.1     The Stables will use reasonable endeavours to notify you of cancelled or rescheduled events using the details you provided to us at the time of booking.  We do not guarantee that you will be informed of cancellations before the date of the event.

5.2     It is your responsibility to inform The Stables of any change to the contact address, telephone number or email address you provide at time of booking.

6.  Refunds and Exchanges

6.1     Tickets cannot be refunded except on the cancellation or a material change to the programme of the event, which in our reasonable opinion makes the event materially different that purchasers of the tickets, taken generally, could reasonably expect.  (e.g. a change in a band’s line up shall not be a material change, but the non-appearance of the headline solo artist would be a material change).

6.2     Where an outdoor paid ticketed event is cancelled or curtailed because of adverse weather, The Stables shall try to reschedule the event in which case the ticket/s will be transferred to the new date.  If the event cannot be rescheduled or you cannot make the new date you will be given the option of a credit (valid for 12 months from point of issue) or refund.  If the outdoor event is a free event whether there are tickets for entry or not The Stables reserves the right not to reschedule the date.

6.3     Should an event be cancelled or rescheduled to a new date that you cannot attend, The Stables will refund or credit the ticket price portion of the amount originally paid only.  This excludes booking fees which are levied to cover the cost of banking and administration including third party service providers and as such cannot be refunded.

6.4     Refunds will not be made if confirmation from the customer is not received by the specified cut-off date which will be indicated in our correspondence regarding the cancelled or rescheduled performance.

6.5     Refunds can only be made to the person who purchased the tickets and to the card used for the original purchase, except at the discretion of The Stables where cash or gift vouchers have been used to purchase the tickets.

6.6     The Stables may be able to resell tickets when shows are sold out – a charge of £3.00 per ticket will apply to cover the costs of banking and administration.  This charge will be waived for Stables Founders, Gold and Silver Friends only where The Stables is the promoter.

6.7     Where tickets are exchanged for another performance, or any amendment made to a booking, a charge of £3 per ticket will apply.

6.8     Where a credit is issued in place of a refund, this will be valid for 12 months from date of issue.

7.  Standards and Safety

7.1     The Stables reserves the right to refuse admission to any venue if it reasonably considers such a refusal to be necessary for the safety and convenience of other customers or for the proper running of venues and events or where a ticket is void.

7.2     Latecomers cannot be admitted until a suitable break or interval in the performance.

7.3     Smoking / vaping is not permitted in any part of the venue / designated outdoor performance spaces.

7.4     Every effort is made to present shows at a suitable sound level, however levels may vary according to artists' requirements, over which The Stables has no control and concerts may be loud. Refunds will not be given on a matter of personal taste or noise levels experienced.

7.5     Please note some shows may contain flashing lights or smoke effects. The Stables cannot always provide specific warnings of these in advance to customers.

Please note that all other unauthorised photography, filming or audio recording is not permitted and The Stables reserves the right to confiscate equipment used/material gained in this way and/or remove offending individuals from the show.

7.16   The management reserve the right to conduct security searches from time to time and confiscate any item which, in the reasonable opinion of the management of The Stables, may cause danger or disruption to other members of the audience or the event or is one of the items not permitted as listed above or in any specific event information.

7.17   The Stables accepts no liability for any loss, theft or damage to confiscated items.  Confiscated items which are not collected within 24 hours will be disposed of.
