Alex Cornish is a singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist based in Dunbar. He is now seven albums in. He has had singles spending weeks on end on the Radio 2 playlist, sessions for Radio 2, 6 Music, Radio 1, BBC Radio Scotland, The Sunday Times’ “hottest download of the week”. The Scotland on Sunday said ”passion, guile and a voice to stand up to Thom Yorke”. The Sunday Times said “a beautiful album that has Mercury Prize shortlist written all over it”.
Alex's songs have featured on hit TV Shows “The Big C”, “Private Practice” and others. He has toured all over supporting amongst others Alison Moyet, Amy MacDonald, Tom McRae and Morcheeba.
On this tour Alex brings with him long time players Paul Gilbody on double bass and Bevis Hungate on piano. For fans of Van Morrison, David Gray and The Tallest Man On Earth.
