Big Big Train: The Woodcut & Other Stories Tour

Promote by Big Big Train LLPpre-sale/friends

Big Big Train are delighted to return to The Stables in September 2026.

Big Big Train will be promoting their recently announced studio album Woodcut, which will be released on 6 February 2026 by the renowned InsideOut/Sony label. As the band’s first ever full-length conceptual piece, Woodcut explores creativity, sacrifice and the thin line between inspiration and madness.

During this two hour plus show, the band will be focussing significantly on Woodcut, as well as playing some fan favourites from their back catalogue plus other early material which has not been performed for over 25 years. Since the recruitment of lead vocalist Alberto Bravin in 2022, the award-winning progressive rock band have played almost 60 shows in the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, the US and Canada as well as co-headlining the prestigious Cruise To The Edge and appearing at various UK and European festivals.

Alongside Bravin and founder member Gregory Spawton, the band features an impressive list of musicians, namely drummer Nick D’Virgilio, guitarist/keyboardist Rikard Sjöblom, violinist Clare Lindley, keyboardist Oskar Holldorff and trumpet player Paul Mitchell. Their combined experience includes playing with bands such as Genesis, Steve Hackett, PFM, Tears For Fears, Mr Big, Spock’s Beard, Beardfish, Stackridge and Dim Gray, among others.
