"Ruth Trimble's new record is absolute exquisite songwriting... with her heart and her voice as the centrepiece.Beth Nielsen Chapman
Songwriting started out as a private hobby for Northern Ireland’s Ruth Trimble, but after winning a scholarship to attend one of Beth Nielsen Chapman’s songwriting workshops in Nashville TN, 2009, she decided to take a break from her job as a pharmacist to write and record her debut album Things I Want To Say.
Since its release in 2012 she has been touring the UK and Ireland, supporting the likes of Clannad and Scala Choir, and has completed a tour of all fifty US states with Kevin Montgomery. Her talents as a multi-intrumentalist have enabled her to not only provide support for, but also be accompanist to Kimmie Rhodes, Beth Nielsen Chapman and Olivia Newton John!
It was the title track of her Christmas release in 2013, Each Christmas Till Then, which got the attention of BBC Radio2’s Bob Harris and finally introduced her music to a bigger radio audience. Since then she has completed two headline solo tours of UK and Ireland and is gathering fans as she goes.
Her work as a producer has also not gone unnoticed, as she was approached by NI songwriter Robin Mark to co-produce his 2014 release Liberation Praise.
Five years on from her debut Ruth has recently released her third album Before The Rain, a body of work which has already been getting extensive radio play and attention nationwide.
