
Nominated by the UK Independent Blues Broadcasters Association for best UK blues band and cd in both the 2024 and 2025 British Blues Awards, the Cadillac Kings have been on the road since 1999. In that time have built a formidable reputation for entertaining audiences with their unique mix of self-penned rhythm'n'blues, Louisiana-style roots music and humour!
They have played at well over a thousand different venues - from London’s Albert Hall to Manchester’s Band on the Wall, from the Canaries Isles to Svalbard in the Arctic circle.
The band has opened for acts such as John Mayall, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Rod Piazza, Lazy Lester, Magic Slim, Louisiana Red, Larry Garner, Nappy Brown, L’il Ed & His Blues Imperials, Little Feat & Delbert McLinton to name but a few!
In 2017 their cd The Secret of My Success reached the number one position in the USA’s Cashbox ‘Blues & Boogie’ chart and stayed there for four weeks above acts such as The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Rick Estrin & The Nightcats, Coco Montoya, John Primer and Samantha Fish.
The bandʼs popularity on Youtube has resulted in videos currently scoring hits in the millions, with their song Betty Lou approaching five million and two more band originals Left Handed Woman and Cadillac Shake approaching a million apiece.
Their latest album Crash & Burn received unanimous praise and five-star reviews from every UK blues & roots magazine and from blues publications across the world. It went straight in at #2 in the UK IBBA Blues charts, in at #1 on the Australian Roots music chart, & in at #1 on Amazon’s list of best selling blues cds. The CD was recorded and mixed by veteran engineers Dave Williams and Richard Manwaring whose cvs include producing albums with Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Eric Bibb and Fleetwood Mac.
