Workshop Fee: £50 (Bursary places available)
Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 August, 10am-4pm for ages 15-18
Are you a musician or songwriter aged 15 to 18? Do you want to find new ways of writing songs?
Come and collaborate with other young musicians to create brand new songs which celebrate our city and tell powerful stories about local people, places and experience.
Explore how to write songs using photos, film, recorded interviews, and local writings to uncover ideas and voices from the past and present.
This inspiring workshop is led by Dan Whitehouse, one of the UK’s leading documentary songwriters, known for his work helping communities turn lived experience into songs.
For over 50 years, Living Archive has worked with a wide range of songwriters to document the life of Milton Keynes through song. Now we’re inviting a new generation of young writers to continue the tradition
