Alex's playing owes much to the blues/rock influence of Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Bonamassa, coupled with a refreshing and high-octane personal style. As consummate musicians, the trio feed off each other’s virtuosity and musical integrity with original material, that is engaging, complex and memorable, and virtuosic re-working of blues favourites - a band that is constantly evolving and excites audiences wherever they go.
Recently nominated to compete in the prestigious UK Blues Challenge, Alex has supported blues greats Mike Zito, Hardwick Circus and Brave Rival and collaborated with European Blues Challenge winner Alice Armstrong. He was honoured to dep for multi-award-winning guitarist Matt Long with the mighty international powerhouse band Catfish in 2024 and is now lead guitarist with newly formed Burning Rope who will be touring Europe in 2026.
Alex also works as a session guitarist with many of the country’s leading symphony orchestras, including the Hallé, CBSO, RLPO, RTE Dublin, BBCNOW, London Concert Orchestra and Manchester Camerata across a variety of styles including West End/Bond/Abba/Nashville/80’s/90s shows and several film with live orchestra screenings in major concert halls including Casino Royale, Skyfall and Top Gun Maverick.
He made his BBC Proms debut in July 2024 and appeared as soloist with the Hallé at the Bridgewater Hall in Guitar Superheroes, Oct 2025.
