Led by their Music Director and renowned conductor, Hilary Davan Wetton, Alina Orchestra presents the culmination of their first Young Conductors Weekend with a performance featuring all of the participants who have taken part in an intensive three-day course to develop their conducting career.
On this final day of the course, participants are given the opportunity to conduct Alina Orchestra in front of a live audience and judging panel. One
highly rated participant will be selected to conduct one of Alina Orchestra’s core concerts as part of its 2024-25 classical series.
The programme includes Mozart’s Symphony No.29 K.201, Arnold’s Sinfonietta No.2, Finzi’s Elegy and Holst’s Brook Green Suite.
