One of the highlights of 2025 will doubtless be the very special run of shows China Crisis are bringing to audiences around the world to celebrate the ruby anniversary of their watershed classic and perpetual fan-favourite 1985 release, Flaunt the Imperfection.
Featuring hits including Black Man Ray and King in a Catholic Style and produced by legendary Steely Dan founder Walter Becker, Flaunt the Imperfection has been called everything from “soaring sophistipop” to “wistful and yearning”, and had songs described as diversely as “giddily upbeat” to having a “cinematic, ambient mood”.
What can be said for certain is that no devotee of the band, young or old, will want to miss the chance to hear this “small masterpiece” played live in its entirety.
