Curtis Stigers has had several self-penned top ten hits as a long-haired, blue-eyed soul singer and he’s written and sung an Emmy nominated TV theme song (The Sons Of Anarchy). He’s recorded a track for one of the biggest-selling pop albums of all time (The Bodyguard) and he’s released nine critically-acclaimed, award-winning jazz albums.
He’s played for presidents and princes and he’s appeared in two Seth MacFarlane movies about a foul-mouthed cuddly bear called Ted. He’s recorded thirteen studio albums and a live album singing Sinatra songs with the world-famous Danish Radio Big Band. He’s toured with symphony orchestras, Elton John, Prince, Rod Stewart, George Benson, and Barry Manilow (to name a few), written songs with Carole King, and duetted with Al Green, Shawn Colvin and Tom Jones.
Curtis returns to The Stables with a new show inspired by his weekly online lockdown livestream show, Songs From My Kitchen. You can expect songs from his entire catalogue - pop, jazz, soul, blues, and even a little country/folk - delivered in an acoustic, up-close-and-personal style.
He’ll bring his guitar, his sax, a couple bandmates to fill out the sound, and 30+ years of entertaining stories and funny tales (mostly true) about his long, winding career in show business. And yes, don’t be silly, of course he’ll sing I Wonder Why and You’re All That Matters To Me so you can be sure you’ll leave the theatre singing.
