Fred's House

(We will be relocating this concert from the Stage 2 (where it was originally scheduled to take place) to the Jim Marshall Auditorium to ensure that audience groupings can be socially distanced.)

Fred’s House reputation as one of the best and most uplifting live bands on the circuit is going before them. They make summery 70’s West Coast inspired folk/rock but have their own distinctively fresh sound that is very much part of now. This group of musicians have the ability to sweep you away with their gorgeous harmonies, moving lyrics, infectious melodies and uplifting grooves inspired by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Lissie and Janice Joplin.

Fronting the band is the powerful voice of Vix Gavin, supported by the beautiful vocals and violin of brand new member Prue Ward, Gafyn Jameson on Bass/BV's, Lachlan Golder on Guitar/BV's and the world's happiest drummer, Paul Richards.

The band scooped the prestigious Syd Barrett Pride of Cambridge Award 2017 and Best Folk, Acoustic and Country artist 2018 at the annual NMG Awards and have toured China as part of the Nanjing International Music Festival. They have released 3 critically acclaimed albums since forming in 2010 -Bonnie & Clyde (2014), Faultlines (2016), and Careless (2018) as well as their brand new EP Walls and Ceilings (2020) featuring the new lineup. They have extensively toured the UK and played some big festivals including Bestival, Cambridge Folk Festival and their outstanding and energetic live shows are gathering them rave reviews from all corners of the globe.

Fred's House are delighted to be performing a socially distanced show at their favourite venue, The Stables. If you need a dose of the "feel-good factor", this is the band for you!
