Jazz Dynamos Jazz'n'80s - featuring Lucy Randell

  • This event has now passed

Jazz Dynamos are a 5 piece band who take well known songs from the 1970s and ‘80s, transforming them with a entertaining mix of jazz, bossa, and samba. Their unique set of original, contemporary jazz arrangements includes hits by, amongst many others, Dolly Parton, Madonna, U2, Police, a-ha and Britney Spears.

Jazz Dynamos bandleaders Mark Adelman and Anders Janes met while working with London swing favourite, Ray Gelato - first in the legendary Chevalier Brothers, then in Ray’s current band, the Giants. Starting Jazz Dynamos first as a side project, Mark and Anders eventually left Ray to concentrate full-time on the band, working with some of the premium vocalists from the UK and further afield developing an eclectic and distinctive repertoire with their unique take on well-known songs, mixed in with a few all-time jazz vocal classics, making this a lively and entertaining show not to be missed!

Fronted by world class vocalist Lucy Randell over the last 12 years, the technique, versatility and sheer joy in Lucy's singing, allied to the swingiest, funkiest, best dressed rhythm section in the UK has resulted in numerous sold out shows at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s and Pizza Express Jazz Clubs in London, festivals in UK, Italy, Sweden, France, Norway and Bulgaria, and performances at private events for British and Hollywood Royalty.

Jazz Dynamos are :

Lucy Randell - Vocal and Percussion
