It’s just over a decade since Newton Faulkner released his debut album in 2007 and, to his own astonishment, became a household name.
Rather than revisit the past and mark the 10 years by performing the double-platinum selling Hand Built By Robots to crowds across the world, he has recharged his batteries, reinvented his sound and release an astonishing sixth album Hit The Ground Running (2017) that is by far the best and boldest of his career.
The long dreadlocks have gone, the guitar is better than ever, the voice is bigger and Newton comes to the Spiegeltent armed with a breath-taking, rule-breaking, genre-hopping collection of songs that he says "hit the sweet spot between the Tom Waits-y ‘real music’ side of me and my love of leftfield pop".
All standing/dancing with limited unreserved seating
These performances are presented as part of IF: Milton Keynes International Festival 2018
