Have you ever wanted to try the Saxophone but didn’t know where to start? Do you want to try it for the first time or have a go before buying one? This workshop offers absolute beginners the chance to have a go.
Starting with the absolute basics, the workshop takes you on a on a gradual step by step approach of getting first sounds, breathing tips, exercises, learning fingerings and scale patterns and playing simple melodies from those scales. No previous musical experience required. You’ll be in a small group of beginners and in a friendly and supportive learning environment.
Instruments provided for use in the workshop, but if you have one you are welcome to bring it for advice and comparison, especially if it is one you may be practicing on after the workshop.
Tutor Lynden Blades is a highly experienced player and teacher who has helped many adult learners to enjoy playing the saxophone, from absolute beginners to established players.

Participants on a full day workshop or course should bring a packed lunch and other snacks.
