Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and their musical director James Pearson present a unique celebration of the music of the late, great, Burt Bacharach.
This world-class evening of music featuring a hand-picked selection of musicians, including a string section, harpist, percussion and the incredible vocal talents of Elaine Delmar and Iain Mackenzie - alongside the Ronnie Scott’s Club Quintet led by James Pearson on piano.
With a set of arrangements, specially written for this concert programme, expect to hear iconic songs like ‘The Look Of Love’, ‘Do You Know The Way To San Jose’, ‘Walk on By’, ‘A House Is Not A Home’, paired alongside some of the incredible film music such as ‘Casino Royal’, ‘Lost Horizon’, and ‘Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid’.
Bacharach’s melodies are some of the most memorable and celebrated of the 20th century, as well as often being coloured with quirky time signatures and modulations that make them a wonderful platform for jazz interpretations. This certainly promises to be a truly spectacular and glamorous evening of world-class music - with a few surprises along the way!
