The perfect course for aspiring rock and pop musicians who would like the chance to play in a band, meet other musicians and learn from experienced tutors. Whatever your instrument, whether you are a back-bedroom guitarist, budding vocalist, or interested in forming a band of your own, The Rock Experience is a great opportunity to take the first steps.
You’ll be supported and coached by our tutors in rehearsal and performance skills, finishing on the final Sunday in a gig on The Stables stage.
You need to have some experience of playing your instrument and be confident enough to have a go playing alongside other people, but no previous band experience is necessary. You need to be willing to have a go at different rock and pop styles, experiment with different songs and learn alongside other people in your band.
Players who have some previous band experiences are welcome, but please join the course as an individual and be prepared to play with new people. Unfortunately, we can’t take existing or pre-formed bands on to the course.
If you’d like further information or advice about joining this course, contact The Stables Learning and Participation Department at education@stables.org
